As of late, my personal life journey has lead me to develop a passion for helping others with their relationship concerns, gender identity, human sexuality, intimacy, and sexual dysfunction issues. As a sex positive counselor, I believe that sexuality should be a normal part of conversation. I work with individuals and couples (both in non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships) and work with members of the LGBTQIA plus population. Specifically, I work with those navigating sexual pain, purity culture recovery, infidelity, and marriage and premarital counseling. Additionally, I am a kink-affirming counselor. I am a member of AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. Additionally, I work with and welcome clients of all faith backgrounds or no faith at all.

With 12 years of experience working with clients going through individual, relationship, and family issues, Celebrity Therapist Dr. Jeff Rocker has provided therapeutic services to clients nationwide. He is Licensed in 14 states and has served clients from all age groups. Over the years, Dr. Jeff has organized lectures and various events in the community, including excursions and retreats for couples to improve their communication and better understand each other. He has experience working with athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. In addition, Dr. Jeff has also worked with clients in the Movie, Music, and Entertainment Industries.

I am an Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist with special training in the attachment theory-based modality of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I believe in building a relationship with clients where they feel safe and accepted, yet challenged to grow. Through this therapeutic relationship, individuals, couples, and families can heal and develop new perspectives and practices they can use throughout their entire lives. I utilize an array of techniques, including psycho-education, genograms, role plays, art therapy, and communication exercises, but I feel the most important aspect to therapy is developing a unique relationship with each client.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. My goal as a therapist is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space to address symptoms and navigate life stressors. I have experience working with individuals and couples with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, self-esteem, life transitions, relational discord and various concerns. We have little control over life's challenges, however we do have control over how we chose to deal with them. I have over sixteen years of social service experience with adults, adolescents, and children in the fields of education, child welfare, delinquent youth, and mental health services. I have two master’s degrees in both Social Work and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. Mercedes Bryjak received her bachelor's degree in language arts and psychology from Cleveland State University. She obtained her master degree in community counseling as well as marriage and family therapy from University of Akron. Mercedes is currently pursuing certification in sex therapy. She specializes in utilizing systemic approach in conceptualization and treatment of complex needs of individuals, couples and families.

Dr. Teresa Rogers (she/her) is the owner of The Relationship Center. She graduated from the University of Akron with a Doctorate of Philosophy. Dr. Rogers is a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. She works with couples, families and individuals on a variety of presenting concerns. Currently, she supervises pre-license level clinicians in counseling and marriage and family therapy fields. Teresa's treatment process integrates the therapeutic power of nature, EMDR, movement and mindfulness practices to support each client in meeting their mental health goals.

As a Marriage & Family therapist, I'm attuned to clients’ interconnected webs of relationships even when working 1-on-1. My experience & training with families & couples enables me to walk with clients through (re)discovering their connectedness to those they love. I’m most passionate about exploring clients’ stories & listening for places where personal narratives might differ from others’.
