As a Counselor and Art Therapist, I work with clients and their support systems to achieve a state of health and wellness. You may have done therapy previously, or this may be your first time, but either way I will walk you through every step of this process providing education, support, warmth, and encouragement. I believe that all of us know what we need in our lives, and we are all capable of achieving our goals, but at times we may need new tools and a consistent encouraging support system to make progress.

I am an Advanced Hypnotherapist and strengths based Therapist dedicated to empowering people to define and live their best lives. I have been in the field for 20 + years and have worked with folks on adjusting to all sorts of difficulties life brings, depression, anxiety, phobias, purpose and familial issues among other things. I welcome all walks of life and look forward to learning about you so that together we can get you moving along your unique life path.

Many individuals reach out to me seeking support for general feelings of unhappiness, sadness, anxiety, anger, and a variety of other emotional experiences. I specialize in helping people navigate these feelings with care and understanding while also assisting them in managing other challenging conflicts in their lives. I specialize in a psychoanalytic approach, which fosters long-term emotional healing and growth by exploring thoughts and feelings that may hinder satisfaction in a person's life or impact their daily functioning.

Whether you're dealing with an issue that recently began or have been suffering over time, you don't need to go through it on your own. I have experience working with individuals with a wide range of mental health diagnoses such as, but not limited to, Autism, PTSD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Use Disorders. Many of the people I serve have co-occurring disorders. I work with adolescents, teens, and adults ages 12+. I use a customized eclectic approach to promote mental health well-being in all the clients I serve. As of 06/05/2024, I am no longer accepting new clients, but I have started a waitlist. With over a decade of experience, I strive to provide a safe and secure place for individuals to address emotional and psychological problems that often result in personal suffering and struggling relationships. Hello! I am now accepting new clients for morning and early daytime. Although I enjoy working with a diverse population, I have extensive experience helping children, adolescents, and young adults. I also work with adult clients dealing with stress, life transitions, relationship issues, and grief. Need help with parenting? I provide one on one coaching for parents seeking help with parenting strategies, dealing with unruly behavior, discipline, and more. Are you a young adult woman experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and even trauma? Self-discovery and creating/finding identity are goals I work best with. In my most recent job, I have found that domestic violence survivors and women who experience issues specific to being a woman have piqued my interest. As a therapist, the most rewarding thing is to guide women toward embracing themselves for who they are, heal past wounds, and empower them to live fully and authentically. I believe I have been given a purpose in this world to serve others, and that's what I was created to do.

While experienced in treating a variety of populations, my passion lies in providing perinatal mental health care to individuals in every stage of their pregnancy and postpartum journey. As a single mother of toddler twins born during the pandemic, I have a unique, compassionate perspective on the struggles of early parenthood. As a queer-identifying therapist, I hold a strong dedication to assisting clients in need of a secure environment to delve into new aspects of identity, including sexuality, gender, religious deconstruction/reconstruction, spirituality, and self-esteem.

Born and raised in the beautiful Mojave Desert of Southern California, I am a Small Town Girl with a Big Passionate Heart! I am the proud wife of a Disabled Marine Corps Veteran who is also an Ordained Minister. I am a mom, a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a friend, and a grandma (or 'Mimi' as I prefer). I am an Ordained Minister with The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, and I have an identical twin sister! (I was the surprise baby Noone knew about) I have a 'Down-To-Earth'' Approach in my therapy and offer Professional Clinical Counseling for both Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders-from a Christian Worldview!

There is a curious habit that I've noticed, especially when working with teens, that clients will mostly only work on the "issue of the week." This can have numerous benefits and can also delay the client's progress on any underlying concerns or patterns. Ideally, once a client has agreed to their treatment goals, they continue to take attainable steps towards that goal in therapy and in their daily life. When a client feels comfortable with their therapist to share their thoughts, emotions, and vulnerabilities, then deeper work can happen.

Our approach to therapy is one in which our clients are viewed as resilient and resourceful. Our office is a place where change happens. I am now offering Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to our practice. Horses are extremely intuitive animals and are able to help facilitate change on an emotional relational level that enhances the healing process.I have had a long interest in horses and find a healing effect to be activated when in their presence. This realization was probably the most important driving force that propelled me into this horse/person connection as a modality for treatment.
