It appears Netflix has updated its app on the Microsoft Store and it's no longer a Windows application but a PWA (Progressive Web App). I have the old version installed, but when I updated it just now, it became a PWA. Uninstall it and try to install the old version using this link and see if it helps.
Prior to disabling hardware acceleration, Netflix shows show Dolby Vision as an option - i.e. 4K and HDR. With hardware acceleration turned off, this is no longer an option. So Edge is the only browser approved for Netflix Dolby Vision, but it can't be used without hardware acceleration, and with hardware acceleration Netflix returns errors.
