The Florida Aquarium is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, publicly operated institution located in downtown Tampa, Florida, United States.It is a large scale, 250,000-square-foot (23,000 m 2) aquarium and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
The Aquarium has more than 144 paid staff [5] and more than 300 volunteers. The volunteer program has become a model in the community. The South Carolina Aquarium is a private not-for-profit education and conservation organization, funded by a combination of ticket, concession and souvenir sales, and corporate, government and private donations. Prior to this, at the London Zoo Fish House, naturalists James S. Bowerbank, Ray Lankester, David W. Mitchell and Philip H.
