Band members have changed over the years, both in the studio and on stage, making Everett the only official member for most of the band's work.

Mark Oliver Everett. Mark Oliver Everett (born April 10, 1963) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and the frontman of the rock band Eels. Also known as E, he is known for writing songs tackling subjects such as death, loneliness, divorce, childhood innocence, depression, and unrequited love, often from personal experience.
At the time of the album's recording, the only official Eels members were E himself and drummer Butch Norton, as Tommy Walter had left the band. Electro-Shock Blues features guest appearances by T-Bone Burnett, Lisa Germano, Grant Lee Phillips and Jon Brion. Release. It was produced and co-written by Michael Simpson of the Dust Brothers.
