Tipp-Ex correction fluid is a white liquid. It is used for painting over mistakes in a piece of writing. When unscrewed, the brush is covered in liquid Tipp-Ex which is then painted over the mistake.
Typing Correction fluid was often used to correct typographical errors as (or after) the document was typed. The fluid was painted over the error and, when dry the correct spelling was written on the new surface. Exceptionally, printing errors were painted out and a handwritten correction applied.
