Kittrell is a ghost town approximately 20 miles north of Huntsville and 10 miles west of Trinity in Walker County, Texas, United States.It was named after and founded by Pleasant Williams Kittrell, a physician who helped found the University of Texas and was a member of Sam Houston's presidential cabinet.

The "Kettl Commission," formally the "Governor’s Blue-Ribbon Commission on State-Local Partnerships for the 21st Century," was a bipartisan 1999-2000 blue ribbon commission, chaired by University of Wisconsin–Madison political scientist Donald F. Kettl, charged by then-Governor Tommy Thompson with studying and reporting back to the governor on how Wisconsin government should be re-structured.
