A new fish cleaning station opened at Lampe Marina, on the south end of the parking lot, in Erie on May 1, 2024. The station will be open 24 hours a day, May 1 through Oct. 31, 2024.
A cleaning station is a location where aquatic life congregate to be cleaned by smaller beings. Such stations exist in both freshwater and marine environments, and are used by animals including fish , sea turtles and hippos .
