The park encompasses Gallagher Beach, the former NFTA Small Boat Harbor, and the waterfront land in between.

Fish Creek–Lacombe station is a CTrain light rail station in the Calgary, Alberta community of which opened October 9, 2001 as part of the South LRT Extension Phase I and was the southern terminus until June 27, 2004. It serves the South Line (Route 201).
It lies at an elevation of 5,712 feet (1,741 m). Established in 1972, the marina features a 54-unit RV campground along with developed and primitive camping, rental cabins, boat ramp and dock, a sand beach, restrooms, showers, a group-use pavilion, sewage disposal, and fish cleaning stations.
It operated as a luxury tour boat for approximately 5 years and then sold to Menzies Fisheries as a fish cleaning station, first at Dawson Landing, Marnine Point and finally, in 1969, at Moose Bay on the North Arm of Great Slave Lake, where it was abandoned. Ruins of the boat are still visible today in Moose Bay.
