Target Corporation is an American retail corporation that operates a chain of discount department stores and hypermarkets, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the seventh-largest retailer in the United States, and a component of the S&P 500 Index.
Biography. Ulrich was born in 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of a 3M executive. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1967, and moved quickly into the retailing business. He began his career with Dayton Hudson Corporation (which would become Target Corporation in 2000).
Career. In 1979, he was recruited as a merchandising trainee by Target, where he steadily advanced through the ranks of the organization. He achieved the position of the Executive Vice President of Merchandising in July 1994 and became Chief Executive Officer in May 2008.
Brian C. Cornell (born c. 1958) is an American businessman, and the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Target Corporation. He is also non-executive chairman of Yum! Brands.
George Draper Dayton (March 6, 1857 – February 18, 1938) was an American businessman and philanthropist, most famous for being the founder of Dayton's department store, which later became Target Corporation.
Jeffrey J. Jones II (born 1967) is an American business executive. He is president and chief executive officer of H&R Block, and formerly held executive posts with Target Corporation, Uber and Gap Inc.
