ISCC–NBS descriptor. Vivid reddish orange. B: Normalized to [0–255] (byte) Red (RGB), RGB red, or electric red[citation needed] (as opposed to pigment red, shown below) is the brightest possible red that can be reproduced on a computer monitor. This color is an approximation of an orangish red spectral color.
Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. It has a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres. It is a primary color in the RGB color model and a secondary color (made from magenta and yellow) in the CMYK color model, and is the complementary color of cyan.
Hexadecimal 8-bit RGB representations of the main 125 colors. A color in the RGB color model is described by indicating how much of each of the red, green, and blue is included. The color is expressed as an RGB triplet ( r, g, b ), each component of which can vary from zero to a defined maximum value.
Byte 1: red value (color type red) Byte 2: green value (color type green) Byte 3: blue value (color type blue) Byte 4 (optional): alpha value; For example, consider the color where the red/green/blue values are decimal numbers: red=36, green=104, blue=160 (a grayish-blue color).
In the RGB colour spectrum blood red often consists only of the colour red, with no green or blue component; in the CYMK colour model blood red has no cyan, and consists only of magenta and yellow with a small amount of black. It is frequently darker than either maroon or dark red.
Code red: fire; Code silver: gun threat/shooter; Code white: violent/behavioural situation; Code yellow: missing person; Code 33: obstetrical emergency; Quebec. The following codes are in use in Quebec. Code black: bomb threat/suspicious object; Code blue: adult cardiac or respiratory arrest, loss of consciousness; Code brown: in-facility ...
The IALA recommends categorical color codes in 7 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, white & black. Adding redundant coding of luminosity and colorfulness adds information and increases speed and accuracy of color decoding tasks. Color codes are superior to others (encoding to letters, shape, size, etc.) in certain types of tasks.
The Color Code is based on four types of personality, identified by color: Red, (motivated by power); Blue, (motivated by intimacy); White, (motivated by peace); and Yellow, (motivated by fun). Although demographic groups vary, Hartman suggests that Reds comprise 25% of the population; Blues 35%; Whites 20%; and Yellows 20%.
Iron oxide red is a generic name of a ferric oxide pigment of reddish colors. Multiple shades based on both anhydrous Fe. 2O. 3 and its hydrates were known to painters since prehistory. The pigments were originally obtained from natural sources, since the 20th century they are mostly synthetic.
Carmine (/ ˈ k ɑːr m ə n, ˈ k ɑːr m aɪ n /) – also called cochineal (when it is extracted from the cochineal insect), cochineal extract, crimson lake, or carmine lake – is a pigment of a bright-red color obtained from the aluminium complex derived from carminic acid. Specific code names for the pigment include natural red 4, C.I ...
