Anatomy of the nasal cavity. Nasal-associated lymphoid tissue labelled NALT. The nasal cavity is the large internal space of the nose, and is in two parts – the nasal vestibule and the nasal cavity proper. The nasal vestibule is the frontmost part of the nasal cavity, enclosed by cartilages.
Like other tetrapods, humans have two external nostrils (anterior nares) and two additional nostrils at the back of the nasal cavity, inside the head (posterior nares, posterior nasal apertures or choanae). They also connect the nose to the throat (the nasopharynx), aiding in respiration.

Nasal bridge is the bony part of the nose, overlying the nasal bones, above the part in blue labeled "Cartilage of Septum". The bridge is between the eyes, and just below them. The lower half of the nose is below the bridge.
