Starlab is the name given to the planned LEO space station designed by Nanoracks for commercial space activities uses. The station is expected to be launched in 2028. Shorncliffe Pier is a historic pier in Shorncliffe, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, situated near Saint Patrick's College and lower Moora Park. The pier with its white faded timber railings, colonial street lamps spaced out along the stretch of pier, and resting shelter towards the end was a much visited attraction for families, residents and tourists to the area.
The station, opened on 1 December 1910, had two flanking platforms and substantial buildings in the "Double Pavilion" style. The passenger service, between Doncaster and Shireoaks was operated jointly by the Great Central Railway and the Great Northern Railway for the first year when the G.N.R. left the arrangement.
The town end of the platform was used to load railway trucks with fish that were caught by the many local boats, many of which were drawn up on Porthminster beach, just below the station. Immediately outside the station was the 106 yards (97 m) long St Ives Viaduct. A small engine shed was situated on the far side of the viaduct.
