Can you imagine that lot full, and then people trying to get into launch while trucks and boats are parked at the fish cleaning station. The funds should be there if the money paid by people using the launches stayed for upgrades and maintence of the launches instead of covering shortages in other areas of the state budget.
The head,tail and skin is still in one piece, goes in the bag along with the guts which is in a 5 gal. bucket with a lid. No flies or bees. A quick spray with the hose after each fish to get rid of any scales or slim on the board. This way the boat is clean and the fish are cleaned before it goes back in the garage.

The reason you do not see a fish cleaning station at a DNR launch is that launches are funded through the waterways commission. Funds can only be used to improve or enhance boating access. The staff of the DNR have worked diligently with us to find another funding source for management and maintenance of the fish cleaning station at Crocker.
No wonder the Port Huron fish cleaning station has been so backed up with guys lined up setting in their cars waiting their turn every night. I also hope they install cameras in both fish cleaning stations along with serious warning signs to help dissuade other copycat hooligans from doing the same thing again.
