Signs and symptoms. At the early stage, a retinal hemorrhage may not show any symptom at all. Signs and symptoms. Blepharospasm usually begins with occasional twitches of both eyelids, which progress over time to forceful and frequent spasms and contractions of the eyelids. In severe episodes, the patient cannot open their eyelids (apraxia), which severely limits their daily activities.
Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, is inflammation of the outermost layer of the white part of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelid. It makes the eye appear pink or reddish. Pain, burning, scratchiness, or itchiness may occur. The affected eye may have increased tears or be "stuck shut" in the morning.
Signs and symptoms. A person with ALO may complain of occasionally being unable to open the eye at will, typically after prolonged closure. Oftentimes, ALO only persists momentarily and the ptosis resolves upon manually lifting the eyelid.
Periorbital dark circles. Minor dark circles and a hint of periorbital puffiness —a combination principally suggestive of minor sleep deprivation. Periorbital dark circles (including dark circles of the lower eyelid) are dark blemishes around the eyes. There are many causes of this symptom, including heredity and bruising.
Dry eye syndrome, also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is the condition of having dry eyes. [2] Symptoms include dryness in the eye, irritation, redness, discharge, blurred vision, and easily fatigued eyes. Symptoms range from mild and occasional to severe and continuous. [3]
