LSU's official colors are Royal Purple and Old Gold. This is LSU's second choice of colors with the first official school colors being blue and white. The first association of LSU with the Royal Purple and Old Gold colors was in 1883 when the LSU Corps of Cadets was presented a flag by a ladies' organization in Baton Rouge.
History. Capitol Junior - Senior High School opened in 1950 as the second public secondary school for African Americans in the city. [2] The school's campus on 40 acres (16 hectares) was designed by Baton Rouge architect A. Hays Town. [3] In 1959, the high school and middle school split, and the middle school remained in the original building.
Tigerama has been performed in the University community at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Baton Rouge River Center, and is now currently to the LSU Student Union Theatre. On a few occasions, Tigerama was a traveling showcase for the Band Department at various performance venues throughout the state, such as the Saenger Theater in New Orleans.

Hill Country Lobos, is an American soccer team based in Central Texas competing in the Lonestar Division of USL League Two.Prior to joining USL League 2, the club was known as Central Texas Lobos and played in the Gulf Coast Premier League.
Belaire was founded in 1974. The first principal of Belaire High School was Thomas Holliman. A group of students from all over the Baton Rouge community helped define the school colors (burnt orange, royal blue, and white), and the school mascot. Today, they are still known to be the Belaire Bengals.
The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a 13,215-seat multi-purpose arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The arena opened in 1972 and is home of the LSU Tigers volleyball team. It was originally known as the LSU Assembly Center, but was renamed in honor of Pete Maravich, a Tiger basketball legend, shortly after his death in 1988.
