St. Joseph was first platted in 1829, and the first lighthouse at the site, located on the shore, was built in 1832. Construction began on harbor piers in 1836, and by 1848 a beacon light had been established on the pier. The onshore lighthouse was replaced in 1859, and a new pierhead beacon was constructed on the south pier in 1870.
Lighthouse keepers and assistant keepers operated Granite Island Light until 1937 when the facility was automated and the living quarters were abandoned. Aids to navigation consisted of a 4th order Fresnel lens and a fog bell tower. The focal height is 89 feet (27 m). At one time it had a red flash every 90 seconds.
The South Haven South Pierhead Light is a lighthouse in Michigan, at the entrance to the Black River on Lake Michigan. The station was lit in 1872, and is still operational. Added to NRHP. December 2, 1993. The Ninth District Lighthouse Depot is a collection of historic structures located at 1 Lighthouse Lane in St. Joseph, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1] It now houses the Saint Joseph River Yacht Club.

This was constructed when the lighthouse was moved to the north pier in 1927. [2] Manistee Pierhead Light was put up for sale under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act in 2009. [9] On June 30, 2011, ownership of the light was transferred to the City of Manistee. The Manistee County Historical Museum will maintain the light.

Minot's Ledge Light, officially Minots Ledge Light, is a lighthouse on Minots Ledge, one mile offshore of the towns of Cohasset and Scituate, Massachusetts, to the southeast of Boston Harbor .The current lighthouse is the second on the site, the first having been washed away in a storm after only a few months of use.
