Rancho Seco Recreational Park is a recreational area located in the California Central Valley near the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station in Herald, California. It is open to the public for camping, fishing, hiking and water activities. Boats are restricted to outboard electric motors which improves the lake's use as a swimming hole.
Grass Point State Park offers picnic tables with pavilions, a playground and playing fields, fishing and ice fishing, a boat launch and docks, a swimming beach, and seasonal hunting. A nearly one-mile-long (1.6 km) snowmobile trail passes through the park, which may be used for hiking during the summer months.
Great River Dock is a small park, at approximately 400 Great River Road, with open access to the river for fishing and crabbing. However, no boat launching is permitted at this location.
