Benjamin Orr (né Orzechowski, September 8, 1947 – October 4, 2000) was an American musician. He was best known as the bassist, co-lead vocalist, and co-founder of the band The Cars.

Ocasek and Cars co-founder Benjamin Orr were close friends who became estranged when the band broke up. The two reconciled prior to Orr's death in 2000. Orr died from pancreatic cancer. About 25% of cases of pancreatic cancer can be traced to smoking (it is the biggest risk factor). Did Orr smoke? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows.
