Despite paying for promoted listings my sales have fallen off a cliff over the last four days. I happened to check my url redirect and etsy link to my shop and I'm getting a 404 Forbidden message -- and I guess all my customers are as well!

At some point I've been wondering if it's a good idea to have separate shops too especially when I've added quite a few new product lines in the past couple of years.
Some say it's against Etsy's rules (it's not explicitly stated anywhere to my knowledge). Some feel it's "begging" for reviews. Some have claimed they definitely won't leave a review if asked. Some welcome the reminder. Some don't care one way or another about sending or receiving such messages. I recommend testing the idea to see how it works.
