Between then and 1955, the fair was held at the Palm Beach Speedway, near the present site of the South Florida Fairgrounds. The fair moved to the current location of Palm Beach State College 's (then known as Palm Beach Junior College) Lake Worth campus in 1956 after being deeded 18 acres (7.3 ha) by the Palm Beach County government.
