As of 2023, all thats left of Yahoo is Finance, Mail, News, Sports, and Search, which are all boring services that just piggyback off other news sites and services like Bing. And their premium support packages that are a total ripoff. The only reason Yahoo even exists is because people still have Yahoo Mail accounts that they haven't ...
The things I tried: - Deleting my cache/cookies etc. - Looked at my recently installed programs (nothing suspicious) - Ran multiple scans (Avast, Hitman, Malwarebytes, no results except for a few cookies which I deleted) - Reinstalled Chrome- Ran a scan via Chrome, no results. I also looked at my default search engine and it never said Yahoo ...
I paid for it once upon a time and honestly it’s not worth it for the little bit of information they provide (over the free service). I too enjoy using Yahoo Finance but the paid version was lacking, I recommend using the free trial though and checking it out. I believe you can cancel the subscription online fairly easily.
If someone hacks your account, changes your recovery email/information - Yahoo will not be able to recover. Someone who hacks an account can easily change all of this information. And we know how susceptible Yahoo is to this. Yahoo "Premium Support" told me it was escalated - but they still couldn't do anything unless I verified my email.

Best thing to do is voice your concerns on your iOS App Store where yahoo finance can be located. Rate the stars as you feel it deserves and voice why. (I’m doing the same) because I wouldn’t have switched if yahoo didn’t specifically state that it could be changed back later. More people need to know before it’s too late for them also.
I've been trying to create a new email address but after the security prompt, it will be just "Too many failed attempts" in the end. The new email that I am using is available tho. 1. DanyBeamz. • 1 yr. ago. Yeh same Issue here and I have waited days before trying again and the same Issue. And of cause Yahoo customer service sucks donkey dick.
Do NOT TRUST Yahoo waiver times. I stayed up about a week ago to pick up Josh Gordon (dropped a kicker... why the hell not?). I looked up online to see what time waivers go through and become free agents. It said 3am Eastern time. Since I didn't have school yet or work the next day, I decided to stay up. 3am came and the waivers weren't cleared.
My guess is Yahoo's owners have simply quit investing in the platform. AOL pages, owned by the same company perform just as dismally. AOL and Yahoo were owned by Verizon, but the slowness seems to coincide with the sale to a new ownership group that simply doesn't want to invest in dying platforms.
They won't charge you until they verify you to help you get into your account. But I'm going to save you some time - without access to your recovery methods they won't help you get access back. They'll run you in circles until you get frustrated or until you get lucky enough for them to admit they won't help you. 1. Share.
